Back in the studio

One of the great things about being a senior at MICA is the senior studios we get. I practically live in mine during the school-year, and I’m really going to miss it after I’ve graduated. This is just one of three tables I have in my little cubicle, and I sit on a nicely padded computer chair as well. Since I don’t use the other big table much, Heather, who is technically a junior, uses it.
Today I had lifestyles, which is a half fashion illustration/half make things sexy class. Besides working on our main project (which I am super excited about) we did some in class observational drawings of photos Daniel Krall brought in. Here are a few of mine.

Everyone who stops on the street to get their picture taken stands pigeon toed to look cute. I have an inflammation of the muscles holding my hip joint in its socket due to childhood illness, so I always look cute.

gouache and copic marker. When the pain of my bursitis becomes intolerable, my hip will snap and I can fall over. Doing this on a crowded sidewalk on my way to class is less cute. Agonizing is the word that comes to mind.
